WEEI Sports Radio Network began a tradition in 2002, teaming up with the Boston Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund to produce a Radiothon that raised more than $300,000 in one day to help fight cancer in children and adults at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2003, New England Sports Network (NESN) joined in and the 2nd annual event exceeded all expectations, raising more than $1 million to support the Jimmy Fund. Over the past 16 years, this event has raised more than $49 million for research and care at Dana-Farber, and numerous celebrities and athletes have been part of this legendary event. 2018 marks the event's 17th anniversary.
As the flagship radio station for the Boston Red Sox since 1995, WEEI is one of the best-known sports media brands, with a reputation for entertaining conversation, deep insight, and breaking news about New England’s favorite sports teams. Each week, WEEI reaches more than 900,000 men and women across New England.
